A16z co-founder Marc Andreessen may be leaving the Meta (Facebook) board due to conflicts of interest over the Web3 investment, sources said.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Andreessen leaves Meta in the next few months,” the source said. A source familiar with the matter said that Meta has started building or acquiring multiple Metaverse, NFT, social, Finance, entertainment-related web3 projects, and pointed out that this may create a conflict of interest with a16z’s crypto empire.
