Aave co-founder and CEO Stani Kulechov said that we won’t see Twitter completely based on Web3 anytime soon.
He believes that Web3 social media will no longer be an updated version of Web2, but more like a network of new interoperable platforms.
Kulechov defines social capital as followers and profiles, adding that under the current Web2 paradigm, users have to give up their social capital every time they create an account with a new service.
“For example, I have a follower on Twitter where I can share my thoughts and connect, and that’s the social capital I create there,” Kulechov said. “But I can’t transfer my followers or profile to another. In an app that is a better experience for me, better reflects my values, or better fits me.”
