Bahrain-based RAK Art Foundation and Dar Alfann Gallery have formed a joint venture to create NFT MENA Exhibit 2022, a state-of-the-art exhibition that will take place at The Ritz-Carlton, Manama from March 16-18 held.

The NFT exhibition, held in Bahrain during the F1 weekend, offers a unique and innovative experience, the first of its kind in the region.

The global art conversation is changing, showing us a digital art revolution – one that will forever change how we think about the art world, and Bahrain has chosen to capitalize on this, fair organizers said in a press release today.

“As we start to think about blockchain and its many aspects and assets and try to come to terms with a new field. It is a fusion of the technological, artistic, cultural and economic worlds,” said Abdulrahman Almokla, chairman of Dar Alfann Gallery. gallery.

“The main purpose of this event is to educate. Although these topics hit the front pages and quickly became popular, most people are still asking themselves what is an NFT? We want to answer that question and show them the possibilities that NFTs can offer. Sex. What it means to them as artists, investors, business owners, gallerists, etc.”

In other words, NFT MENA Exhibit 2022 seeks to advance the Web 3.0 narrative, showcasing the cultural relevance of digital artwork and its potential as intellectual, cultural and investment capital. In fact, he said, the artwork and guest speakers on display will demonstrate how emerging technologies can be used as a creative outlet to create new momentum for the art world and create new opportunities in terms of investment and global markets.

Along with some international artists, the exhibition will showcase the art works of Bahraini artists such as Leena Al Ayoobi, Adnan Al Ahmed, etc. and explain step by step the process of putting your work on the blockchain, besides talks, live casting and auction, NFT Workshops for experts, representatives of NFT markets and cryptocurrency exchanges, as well as educational courses for artists and NFT enthusiasts.

The organizers have also partnered with leading NFT marketplace NFT BAZL to leverage their expertise to bring this event to life.

This one-of-a-kind presentation stands at the crossroads between digital and physical, material and immaterial. Organisers say the aim is to create awareness, harness the enthusiasm generated by this new “disruptive” technology and reinfuse it into the art trade to create a more diverse and inclusive market.

“We also aspire to a public debate on the social perception of art, the legitimacy of digital artwork and its cultural impact on local and global dimensions.”

The RAK Art Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering artists around the world by providing opportunities, encouraging cross-cultural collaboration and exchange, and fostering international partnerships. Based in Bahrain, Dar Alfann is a boutique company that creates art and artwork that echoes the traditional heritage of the Arabian Gulf countries.
