On March 17, it was learned from the survey results of American companies that the crypto assets (virtual currency) paid to hackers in 2021 by enterprises and groups that have been attacked by ransomware-type computer viruses and ransomware will be at least equivalent to about 602 million dollar in the world.

This highlights the fact that many companies and groups have to pay ransoms because the data they need to maintain their business cannot be used. Ransomware spreads in the form of virus-laden emails and is rampant around the world, including Japan.
