Citi said in a research report on Friday that the merger of Ethereum has been completed. Although there are high expectations for the transition, the volatility is still sluggish.
Ethereum’s current energy efficiency is 99.95%higher than the process of using the workload (POW) process. After the transition, the miners no longer received rewards, and pointed out that these rewards were equivalent to 4.9 million Ethereum each year.
It adds that the circulation of Ethereum will decrease by 90% to about 600,000, and the total supply of supply on the first day of merging is decreased, because the cost of combustion is greater than the rewards issued to the verificationrs.
Citi said that Ethereum has become an asset that can generate income after removing mining, and the current pledge yield is about 4.5%. This yield is higher than some traditional financial instruments.
