Over the past 18 months, cryptocurrency companies have invested more than $2.4 billion in sports sponsorships, all in an effort to attract more users to their Web3 world.

Binance has signed contracts with football icon Cristiano Ronaldo and Africa Cup of Nations matches. Coinbase has struck a deal with top NBA star Kevin Durant.

FTX has franchises with Major League Baseball, the NBA’s Miami Heat, and esports team TSM. Even the drone race league is getting cryptocurrency funding.
