A recent Forbes survey of 65 billionaires around the world revealed that nearly 30 percent of them are directly or indirectly invested in cryptocurrencies, a higher percentage than non-billionaire investors. And an NBC News survey of 1,000 Americans released in March found that 20 percent had invested, traded or used cryptocurrencies.
About 18 percent of the billionaires surveyed said they had at least 1 percent of their wealth in cryptocurrencies, while 3.2 percent of billionaire respondents said they put more than half of their wealth in cryptocurrencies.
Another 10% said they did not invest in cryptocurrencies directly, but supported cryptocurrency-focused companies. FTX co-founder and CEO SBF, one of the billionaires participating in the anonymous survey, revealed that between 76% and 100% of his $20.6 billion net worth is in cryptocurrencies.
