Global toy company Mattel launches NFT marketplace. According to the company, the new NFT marketplace is built for mainstream consumers and will not require users to own cryptocurrency to make purchases.
The marketplace also plans to integrate a P2P trading platform in early 2023, allowing collectors to trade their digital collectibles among themselves.
Mattel makes merchandise including dolls, games and action figures, and owns the intellectual property for brands including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, UNO and Fisher Price. So far, Mattel has released NFT collections for its Barbie and Hot Wheels collections.
