Venture capital fund SeaX Ventures has launched a $60 million Fund II to help international startups expand in Southeast Asia. The fund is dedicated to investing in companies seeking transformational opportunities in areas such as blockchain and Web3, food technology, biotechnology and life sciences, artificial intelligence, robotics, IoT and hardware.
SeaX Ventures will make investments of $500,000 to $5 million in Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A rounds.
Investors in the fund include PTTOR International Holdings (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Central Pattana PCL, Singha Ventures Corporation, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital PCL, MC Group PCL, as well as Jareeporn Jarukornsakul (WHA co-founder), Banyong Pongnanich (Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group financial group chairman) and other individual investors.
