Terra Pool, a joint project between bitcoin miner Argo Blockchain and Canadian miner DMG Blockchain Solutions, is now open to the public.
The mining pool is powered by the hydroelectric resources of the two companies. Terra Pool’s testing has ended, DMG announced Wednesday. The pool was launched privately in December last year, and the hash rate was initially derived from the mining resources of Argo and DMG.
The project focuses on mining with clean energy, and the ultimate goal is to achieve 100% clean and renewable energy for each miner.
According to the announcement, Terra Pool will be audited annually by a third-party independent audit firm. Members must meet the clean energy needs of the pool in order to maintain participation. The company will conduct KYC and verify the applicant’s energy.
