The first Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT-themed restaurant, Bored & Hungry, officially opened in Long Beach, California, on April 9, local time.
It is reported that the Bored & Hungry restaurant will be open for 90 days as a pop-up store. The restaurant accepts ApeCoin (APE), ETH, and debit/credit card payment methods. The restaurant was conceived by food entrepreneur Andy Nguyen.
To launch the restaurant, Nguyen spent $267,000 on Bored Ape #6184 back in March, in addition to multiple MAYCs.
Through the QR code, restaurants can scan a customer’s MetaMask wallet to view their APE, BAYC, MAYC or BAKC NFT. Customers who own cryptocurrencies or related NFTs can enjoy special perks offered by restaurants, such as free meal combos.
