According to the Kucoin cryptocurrency report, cryptocurrency investors among Turkish adults have increased significantly in the past 18 months, from 40% to 52%, according to the survey.
While male investors still dominate at 57%, female investor participation is on the rise, especially among younger generations. Almost half (47%) of cryptocurrency investors between the ages of 18 and 30 are women.
This shows that the gender gap is narrowing as cryptocurrency adoption becomes more widespread, with female cryptocurrency investors over the age of 45 accounting for only 37% of the total.
The younger generation dominates among cryptocurrency investors, with investors aged 31 to 44 making up the majority at 48%, followed by investors aged 18 to 30 at 37%.
According to the survey, 31% of overall cryptocurrency investors made their first cryptocurrency investment in the past three months, and 54% of investors under the age of 30 joined the market in the last year, which shows the influence of young people.
In addition, 37% of investors over the age of 45 have invested in cryptocurrencies for more than two years, indicating that cryptocurrencies have experienced a steady process of adoption.
The results showed that 33% of investors under the age of 30 invested more than 100,000TL. The high interest among younger generations and the participation of other age groups indicates that cryptocurrencies are becoming more accepted in the country.
