Ethereum ETH 0.03% co-founder Vitalik Buterin claims his influence on Ethereum is declining, saying he has less influence today than he was six months ago.
“I feel like my influence on Ethereum is declining every six months. I am less now than I was six months ago. Six months ago, I was less than a year ago. A year ago, I was less than 18 months ago Less,” Buterin said in a recent interview with US tech entrepreneur and investor Naval Ravikant. He further noted that there are a lot of people in the ethereum community, and even he has to “convince them to go in a certain direction.”
If you watch some of the Ethereum Improvement Proposals that I personally promote – EIPs, some of them didn’t even work out.
So for a lot of them, you have to work really hard to satisfy all of the concerns. When asked what was the biggest plan he pushed and never adopted, Buterin cited EIP-4488 as an example, saying if I had more control, it would be in Ethereum today.
