In the Horizon attack on the Harmony cross-chain bridge, Lossless Protocol, a DeFi hacker identification and incentive protocol, successfully prevented 78 million AGG tokens from being stolen. Among them, when the hacker carried out the attack, the corresponding malicious transaction was reported as a hacker attack on Lossless Protocol, thus effectively freezing 78 million AGG tokens for 24 hours.
Within those 24 hours, a decision-making body consisting of token owners, the Lossless technical team, and a security committee is required to investigate the report and then vote on whether the hack is confirmed.
The decision-making body quickly concluded its investigation into the hack and successfully recovered the stolen 78 million AGG tokens at 3:17pm UTC on June 24.
It was previously reported that Horizon, the cross-chain bridge between Ethereum ETH -0.11% and Harmony, was attacked on June 24, causing a loss of about $100 million.
