SK Planet, the marketing platform operation subsidiary of SK, the largest telecommunications group in South Korea, will enter the blockchain market. SK Planet has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with South Korean crypto exchange Korbit to jointly develop projects to promote new blockchain businesses.
It is expected that SK Planet’s points and membership platform and Korbit’s blockchain platform will create synergies in the blockchain business. SK Planet plans to create synergies in the blockchain business by connecting various platforms with its parent company SK Square.
It is reported that SK Square invested 87.3 billion won in Korbit last year, becoming the second largest shareholder.
