A new survey released earlier this week sheds more light on how Argentines view cryptocurrencies and how they use them. The survey asked 2,400 Argentine citizens from all over the country, living at different economic levels.

The survey found that 90 percent of the citizens surveyed had heard of cryptocurrencies before the survey. However, this popularity has not led to direct operations with cryptocurrencies. Only 38% have an understanding of the operation and inner workings of crypto assets.

However, Argentines are willing to use cryptocurrencies differently if necessary. 74% of respondents said they would buy and use cryptocurrencies, either as investment assets or just to preserve some of their purchasing power. Of the 74% of Argentines willing to buy crypto assets, 49% said they would, but they don’t know how.
