The crypto and blockchain industries continue to show signs of maturation, KPMG said in its September Pulse of Fintech H1’22 report.
Despite the decline from 2021, the continued pace of cryptocurrency growth underscores the growing maturity of the sector and the breadth of technologies and solutions that are attracting investment, KPMG said.
However, the future may remain uncertain for some blockchain startups, said Alexandre Stachtchenko, director of blockchain and crypto assets at KPMG France, which may need to lower valuations to raise capital as that is the only option.
