According to official news, a few days ago, TRON community developers initiated a proposal to enable the TVM PUSH0 command. The core of the proposal revolves around the compatibility of Ethereum ETH -0.31% EIP-3855. A new command called PUSH0 virtual machine has been added to TRON to reduce the gas cost of smart contract transactions.
As part of the Ethereum Shanghai upgrade, Ethereum EIP-3855 was activated on its mainnet on April 12.
If this proposal is passed, it will ensure the compatibility between TRON and Ethereum at the virtual machine level, and will also reduce the cost of using TRON smart contracts in the future.
It is understood that TRON released an upgraded version of the mainnet — GreatVoyage-v4.7.2 (Periander) earlier this month.
In the latest version, TRON has introduced a number of governance proposals and key updates. In addition to being compatible with Ethereum EIP-3855, it also includes greatly improving the flexibility of the Stake 2.0 pledge system, optimizing the smart contract call access interface, and comprehensively upgrading the P2P network module.
